Sailing on the Swan

The event provides some much-needed respite for the families of the ill children. It also goes some way toward providing the siblings, who in many cases feel overshadowed by the ongoing special needs of their less fortunate brother or sister, with a day to remember.
Presentation to the Dux of the UWA Medical School
This is provided under the Fred Johnston Memorial Trust. This is an annual award which has been presented over many years and the trust was formed by a former member of the club who assisted with the formation of the UWA Medical School.
Karya Mulia School for the Deaf, Surabaya, East Java
The original project funded through a Rotary foundation matching grant by the Rotary Club of Cambridge in W.A, is ongoing through working with the club of Cambridge, the R.C of Surabaya and the Patricia O’Sullivan Humanitarian Project to improve the opportunities for children who are deaf or hearing impaired and their families in our near neighbour, Indonesia.
In April this year we presented a diagnostic audiometer and a digital tympanometer to the school.
It also sits within the sister state relationship that WA has with East Java.
A great way to promote international relationships!
