Vincent Tools 'n Things Library
The Tool Library and Library of Things is an initiative of Transition Town Vincent supported by the Rotary Club of Mt Lawley. A Tool Library and a Library of Things is a library that lends tools and household items of all sorts to its subscribers, for a fixed period. The library offers items from a broom to an engine lift, covering many aspects of life from building, gardening, engineering, cooking, camping, domestic and play.
The project is gaining traction and stock available to borrow has been growing steadily through lots of generous donations. At the moment the library is accepting donations every Saturday morning from 10 am to midday.
The Tools n Things Library in Vincent is at 41 Britannia Road, Mount Hawthorn - close to the Britannia Reserve drop-off point.
Want to Donate?
Please, dig out those tools and specialty household equipment that you no longer use. We will very gratefully find a new home for them in the library where they will live out their days saving further consumer waste and making people happy and productive!
While you’re clearing out your storage, shed, and under the cabinets, have a think whether you have any tools or household items that you could donate. We all have things we don’t use any more, or very often, or duplicates from gifts and upgrades. If tools and things are in good and safe working order, donated items are likely to reduce further waste from consumer packaging and the Library offers a new home for the good of the community.
If you would like to help Rotary club members Geoff, Ray, Russell and others in running the library or donating stock, please contact Geoff.
