MOUNT LAWLEY ROTARACT CLUB

Rotaract is a Rotary-sponsored service club for young adults aged 18 to 30. Rotaract clubs are usually community or university-based and are sponsored by a local Rotary club making them true "partners in service" and key members of the Rotary family.

The Rotary Club of Mount Lawley works with Mount Lawley Rotaract Club in a mentoring and support capacity. Rotaractors expand their knowledge and skillsets as well as addressing the physical and social needs of our community. Other goals include promoting international understanding and peace through a framework of friendship and service, often in partnership with international Rotoract clubs.

Being a part of Rotaract club provides opportunities to connect with other like-minded individuals of a similar age within the local and international community. Rotaractors help improve the lives of the people around them, and in so doing they develop as future leaders.

We have started hosting creative nights, which are free events for anyone willing to learn new skills and create crafts to sell/auction off to raise money for our club and chosen charities. Our members volunteer to be our teacher for the night and share their skills to the group. It also gives us an opportunity to learn more about our members and socialise as a club.

These events are planned bi-monthly and alternate with our "warrior mail" catch ups where we write letters and make cards for children in hospital. These are also hosted by our club members.
