Hope Children’s Home Orphanage in Bali
Hope Children’s Home is an independent Christian orphanage established in 1974 to provide housing and comfort to the orphans of Bali and surrounding islands.
This Rotary Club of Mt Lawley project aims to provide assistance for children and young adults at the orphanage ranging in age from 4 to 20 years. Assistance provided to the orphanage includes food, school fees and textbooks, and the development of improved living conditions. This includes providing running water to the kitchen and bathroom and clean bedding for 50 students. They also need to acquire a vehicle to facilitate getting the students to school safely.
The intention is for the majority of the building improvements to be carried out by local trades under the supervision of the orphanage's owner Mrs Trisnawathi, with financial oversight and assistance provided by the Rotary Club of Mt Lawley.
